The American International School of Jeddah’s Library Media Center offers a vast array of resources for students from daycare to 12th grade, faculty, and parents.  Patrons are able to access information from over 25,000 volumes, online databases, videos, DVDs, 50+ computers with Internet access, and other media equipment.  The library staff includes a library media specialist and two library assistants along with some library volunteers.

 The mission of the library media center (based upon the American Association of School Library’s Information Power) is to create independent learners and users of information.  Through the variety of programs offered through the library media center, patrons are encouraged to read for pleasure, use information appropriately and ethically, and eventually become producers of information.
